  • SPACE OF VALUES: full immersion

08.08–15.10

This holiday week devoted to Metallurgist Day, the Magnezit Museum opened the “Space of Values” exhibition. The employees of Magnezit, who had been granted professional regional and corporate awards that day, were its first visitors.

The new exposition became a unique opportunity for the visitors to immerse into the space of values, which was simultaneously formed by a number of dimensions – thematic areas. The space of the exhibition itself is arranged so that a visitor, while passing the excursion route, feels like an employee of Magnezit, a part of a big company, and gets a new angle on the role of Magnezit Group in the development of industry and interaction with the society.

“This exhibition is an attempt to look back at the way we passed. It has a number of dimensions: material, intellectual and symbolic. They form the space, which we call the space of values. The values are the things we believe in, they determine our decisions and actions. Advanced products, advanced equipment, advanced environment, advanced achievements. All these are up to us, because we think where we use them and what goals we have. We are proud of our success and strive to do more and make it better. So, our way leads us to our present future. This is the way of creative interaction”, it is explained in the annotation to the exhibition. These are the words shown to a visitor as they just get into the room, or to be more precise, a “portal” that invites to a journey.

It starts with immersion into the first story about the “Russian Magnezit” brand, which launched global changes.

“Unique raw materials, advanced technologies and state-of-art production are the three main components of the idea of the brand and philosophy of the company. As for the real production process, it is implemented as follows: our products are made from unique raw materials with minimum impurities; the basis for our products is production of sintered and fused magnesia, applying a two-stage technology that reveals the best properties of magnesite; our production lines are highly-automated and robotized. All these components make it possible to get high quality end products “, says Anastasia Chizhikova, a specialist of the Magnezit Museum, while offering the visitors to take a closer look at the presented facts and exhibited showpieces.

By the way, a great many people noticed how the exposition changed the space of the exhibition hall, as if not only its geometry, but also size were changed. This feeling appears due to the scale of the structures, which comprise the exhibition. All poster models, exhibition stands and other objects are full size: they are exactly the same as those at industrial sites and in the offices of Magnezit Group. This is one more immersion effect – into the real production scale.

Meanwhile, the guide invites us to continue our journey into the space of values. The next section of the exposition immerses us into the idea of creative interaction, which determines the new understanding by the Group of their business and their place in it.

“To achieve the set goals, we should not only see them, but also understand them, as their achievement will influence the world, community and each individual”, Anastasia continues. “The company sees the opportunities for growth in production, research, engineering, educational and social spheres. We serve the interests of all mankind. There are just some examples of our projects in various spheres: the Magnezit Museum, Art-Satka, Satka Ice Arena, which became attraction points for residents and guests of Satka; there are also examples of our scientific achievements, cooperation with the South Ural State University, etc. The exposition shows us all kinds of interaction examples – from production to social sphere. If you visit the exhibition again, you will see that the showpieces constantly change, and the exposition makes it possible to learn more and more new and interesting things.”

“Growth Point” – the next stage of our excursion – tells us about innovation complexes of the company. They are the growth points, which determine not only the future of Magnezit Group, but also the future of the industry as a whole. So, how was the bright, individual and recognizable image of the company created? How were the complexes and their main equipment named? How were slogans, graphical solutions and design code as a whole of the production site created? Why are they based on the principles of Russian Avantgarde? The exhibition answers these questions using concrete examples: from design of facades and indoor premises to hinged structures.

This is the first time when the employees of Magnezit, partners and guests of the company can, visiting “Space of Values”, study the new navigation system which is being implemented at the production site in Satka. We will tell you about this project in detail in our next publications. Today we invite you to the exhibition, where the organizers prepared a lot of surprises for their guests. They are sure to bring joy to both adults and children. It is a must for you to ask the guide about interactive zones not to miss the opportunity and take part in the “Sounds of Magnezit” quiz, fill words, guess games, Memo and other interesting activities.

The exhibition is open until October 15. Admission is free. Book your tour over the phone: 9-46-84.
