  • SOLNECHNAYA STREET TO HAVE NEW LOOK

On June 16 to June 18, the finale of the All-Russia Urbanistic Hackathon “Cities” will be held in Satka, supported by the Magnezit Group and the Sobranie Fund.

Three teams of young urbanists and architects will unite and create urban development projects for one of the main streets in Satka, Solnechnaya Street.

“If a project created by the hackathon participants will rouse a keen response from the citizens of Satka, the city authorities and architects will do all their best to support and successfully implement such project according to its concepts, work schedule and terms (2022–2025),” noted Aleksandr Glazkov, Head of Satka District.

The All-Russia Urbanistic Hackathon “Cities” is held annually by Roskultcentr in association with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh). Its purpose and objectives are to discover and support young Russian specialists in urban studies and architecture, to create a platform for sharing experience and to draw attention of the community to the problems of small towns and territories.

The winning team’s project will receive expert and financial support for implementation in Chelyabinsk Oblast. The awarding ceremony will be held in Moscow as a part of the Russian Creativity Week.

The Sobranie Cultural Initiative Supporting & Preservation Fund is the strategic partner of the All-Russia Urbanistic Hackathon “Cities” in Chelyabinsk Oblast.
