  • “EXHIBITION OF THE YEAR” - THE 5TH URAL INDUSTRIAL BIENNALE

The 5th Ural Industrial Biennale won the VIII annual award of the Art Newspaper Russia in the nomination “Exhibition of the Year”. The project, implemented in the region, became the first one in the history of the award with this nomination.

Due to the professionalism of the team, the experimental format of the project and the choice of a pressing issue, it was possible to attract attention of the global world to the region, to build a dialog with the audience and to involve citizens in the creation of a large-scale international project.

“We express our gratitude to the entire Biennale team, as well as to the organizers and founders of the project: the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, NCCA as a part of ROSIZO (now a part of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts), the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and Yekaterinburg City Administration.

Special appreciation for the project support to Biennale partners: Rostekh corporation, Vladimir Potanin Foundation, Presidential Grants Fund, SIBUR holding, Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation, Sinar Foundation, Art, Science and Sports Fund” — the representatives of the Ural Biennale stated. 

This award was established in 2012 by Inna Bazhenova, the publisher of The Art Newspaper Russia. Mission of this award is to express public recognition to the representatives of the art community for achievements in the field of art over the past year and the promotion of Russian art abroad. This year, the award is held for the 8th time.
