The Satkinsky District received letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation for implementation of the project “Holding Urban Festivals” in Satka as a part of the All-Russian Competition “Best Municipal Practice.”

Nominated in the category “Urban Planning Policy, Ensuring Favorable Living Environment for People and Development of Housing and Utilities Sector,” the project was highly appreciated by experts and the Federal Competition Commission.

Based on results of the All-Russian Competition “Best Municipal Practice,” letters of appreciation of the Minister of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation were awarded to heads of municipalities at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation as a part of the Local Government Council meeting dedicated to tools to improve quality of municipal governance. The meeting was held by the Federation Council Deputy Chairman Andrei Turchak. 

“The topic is highly relevant because it directly connected with the large-scale work carried out to implement objectives set by the President of Russia,” stressed the Federation Council Vice-Speaker. "The main goal is to further improve citizens’ living standards, to create conditions for development of medicine, education, to ensure safe and comfortable living environment. That is, all that determines quality of people’s daily life", noted Andrei Turchak.

The event was attended by members of the Federation Council, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Vadim Zhivulin, the Deputy Minister of Construction Industry, Housing and Utilities Sector of the Russian Federation Andrei Chibis, the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Denis Novak, the Governor of the Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov, the Governor of the Orenburg Region Yuri Berg, representatives of federal executive bodies, state bodies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local government bodies, scientific and expert community and civil society institutions.
