On 20 January, National History Fund, SOBRANIE Fund and S.G. Stroganov Moscow State Art and Industrial Academy announce the commencement of I National Russian Contest of Schoolchildren Research Works ‘The Home Area History is the National History’.

The schoolchildren of 9-11 grades of the Russian general education institutions are invited to take part in the contest.

The texts of the works are to be sent to info@smallhomeland.ru. 

The subject of the contest is aligned with the priority areas of the Russian Historical Society for the current year:

• The era of Great Reforms of Alexander II;

• The Great Russian Revolution of 1917–1922; 

• People and texts in the Russian literature history (to the 200th anniversary of the birth of I.S. Turgenev and the 150th anniversary of the birth of M. Gorky);

• Russian historical and cultural landmark.

The winners and the awardees will be awarded commemorative diplomas, valuable gifts and study trips to Moscow and Satka (Chelyabinsk Region).
